Just had my occasional indulgence at a local barber shop, where I appear with my kafos and crutches for a number zero haircut (effectively a head shave) and a hot-towel shave. This is all so sensuous, and there's something about sitting there in callipers, with my crutches carefully stowed to one side by the barber. Also the way the chair is swivelled right round to let my crippled self sit down and get up more easily, and the barber considerately handing me my crutches at the end.
What would happen if the barber bumped into me able-bodied in the high street (which is after all quite likely) I don't know - I'm just taking my chances!
Anyone else have favourite brace rituals??

Another wonderful barbershop visit in braces for a hot towel shave and headshave. Moving my "crippled" legs on and off the footplate of the barber's chair, the cute barber said "Take your time and relax." Getting up from the chair at the end, he supported me firmly while I locked my calipers! :-)
