Just seen you here I have worn the "Old" leather and metal kafo's for 55 years Our UK medical system in my area will not longer supply a spare set What is you approximate cost for a set?

Hi, ij0511, I have worn braces (one at a time on my right leg) only since 2008. I had three AFOs in succession: two thermoplastic, the first of which was great to begin with, the second was stronger and painful to wear, the third was carbon fibre, light but still painful; then an older orthotist said I should have a metal and leather AFO with a caliper attachment to the heel of my boot. Unfortunately this made my knee collapse when I walked. Then I was given my first KAFO, with metal uprights and thermoplastic shells on the thigh and calf. As with the AFOs I found this uncomfortable. Next I had a metal and leather KAFO with caliper attachment to my boot. I wear this at the moment. After a while I was given a spare which is similar. The one I am wearing has the name CRISPIN stamped on the metal. So you can still get "traditional" metal and leather from the NHS. Try again and better luck next time! Rowland

Please stop using pictures of braces that I have created as your own. You know that you cannot do what I do and you are deceiving people. You need business that bad that you use the work of others to get it?
