Hi there!
Is there a medical term in English for this type of brace? How would you call it in English?
What do you think, what might you have to pay if had such a brace made today?

I do like leather braces, there will be a metal frame inside the leather. I would expect that it would be many hundreds of pounds to buy new. They are called knee immobilizers, see Breg example, which is only about £100.

Yes there is a metal frame inside such braces. I find it incredibly sexy I must say ;-)

If you like that one then try searching Youtube for Thomas brace or Thomas splint. From memory, there is a very similar clip but with different brace. Might even be the same person.
It might even come up as a suggestion when you view the one you've already found.
